There can't be many bars whose membership card gently begins to glow as the sun goes down. Sugar is the seriously slinky rooftop bar and lounge at Island East that's full of surprise. With its spectacular outdoor deck, 300 feet above Hong Kong harbour, Sugar is where the Quarry Bay crowd head after work for drinks and late-night winding down.
Yang Rutherford designed the subtle, predominantly white brand identity as well as creating host of quirky items including the luminous membership card and tabletop menu holder made from big lumps of ... sugar.
